Bodyboss: Week 4

Top Tips from week 4!
·         Do the pre training!! I have at last realised why I had such a hard time during the first three weeks of the training, and that was simply because I was not fit enough.  Now I have reached a fitness level which allows me to complete workouts and feel strong not defeated the whole process is much more rewarding!

Monday
Legs and booty! I finally feel strong and capable and this is amazing. This workout actually felt good and perfectly within my fitness level and I still had the energy to dance around afterwards. This is the affirming bit!

Tuesday
My legs and bum were a wee bit sore but I take that as a win. It’s the kind of mildly pleasant pain that means things are paying off. I still haven’t done any yoga but I walk a lot and although I should try to swim or yoga my Tuesdays are often put on hold and I make to with walking as the ‘recovery’ bit.

Wednesday
Once again the workout was ok. I feel like I’m getting the hang of it. It does help that I can do them at a better time of day and not at midnight. I feel stronger, if not thinner. I’m still eating bad things, but I’m working on it.

Thursday
Run day. This time I was back late, too late for my boyfriend who’d had the day off, so I went running alone for the first time. I was quite nervous about being able to pace myself and it was dark when I got back but I tried to keep momentum and changed, warmed up and left before I’d had chance to think about it too much. I did the 2 mile circuit and managed it in under 20 minutes, and my pacing was ok. Quite happy with that! But it’s easier and nicer, I think, to run with company so I’ll join him again next week.

Friday
This was the first day I missed. I had an early start and a long day at work, then a train to catch for a weekend at home so I just couldn’t find the time. But I did a lot of walking over the weekend and hopefully it won’t damage my chances too much.

I think by this stage I’ve become used to the idea of taking time out of my weekdays to commit to this. It is a big time commitment, but I haven’t been wasting time online like I used to which is healthier for my mind as well. I haven’t had chance to write much, my other big passion, but now that I can see a physical change as well as having more energy in general and feeling better, I do not mind spending my time bettering my body. Do the pre training to avoid a first 3 weeks like I had, but do exercise. There are so so many great things about it.
