Bodyboss: Week 5

Top tips from week 5!

  •          Notice yourself. Notice what your body can do, accept what it can’t and celebrate what it does!

Monday
I’m back to my two job days so it was a late one when I got to it. But now my fitness levels are up it wasn’t so bad at all. My legs are stronger than my arms and core so despite more aches, Mondays are usually easier for me than Wednesdays!

Tuesday
No aches this week! But I still haven’t got round to doing yoga….’recovery’ was lots of stairs at work.

Wednesday
Today was a long day but not too late, and I managed to fit in the workout before my boyfriend got home which was great. This one was pretty tough, I think because of the specific exercises in the circuit rather than anything else. There were pushups, tricep dips and rotation planks which are all pretty tough, and I could feel this one was nasty! But I think the rotation planks are pretty good for the abs and sides (I now have little indentations where my sixpack is hiding) so I don’t begrudge them. I just didn’t want to do 120….

Thursday
Today I ran 5km! It’s the furthest, longest and fastest I have ever run, I have my mile down to under 10 minutes. But it was really hard. Going from 2 to 3 miles on a whim is not easy! But I made it, and I ran 3.9 miles in 30 minutes. Which if you’re metric is my first ever 5k.

Friday
An early start, late finish and with my brain being like a firework when I got home, the ‘powerup’ workout took a back seat. We nested in duvets on the living room floor instead and watched Moana. Mental health is hella important too.
I have just done the powerup now on Saturday morning and I’m not going to worry about the fact it’s a few hours late!

These posts are getting shorter and shorter the longer I do this regime. I guess that’s because I have less to say about it because it is becoming a normal part of my life, which is great. Focus on the big things and the little things fall into place don’t they? Not all the time. But you can make a habit of something and then it becomes easier. We just have to have the courage to begin.
